QHST Visits WJPS!

On Monday March 12, our advisory was visited by two members of the Queens High School of Teaching's Senior Class. The students, like WJPS students, were the first freshman class in their school. With their teacher, Walter Brown (a good friend of mine), the students discussed their experience of being part of a brand new small school.

Click on the link below, and read one of the student's comments about the visit.

After you read the comments, please post your reflections on their visit.

Advisory Blog Assignment 3/7/07

On Monday, we will be visited by members of the Senior and Junior Class from the Queens High School of teaching.

In order to introduce ourselves to them, we're going to post responses on this blog to the following questions. Each question should be followed by a response of at least one paragraph.

Questions.

1. In what ways has your decision to go to a small high school benefitted (helped) you?
2. In what ways has your decision to attend a small high school not helped you, or held you back?
3. What is the most important thing you need to know about going to high school in a small-school setting?
